Vlc media player artifacts9/26/2023 The only way to get rid of this is to manually drag video window size and stretch it. Only when playing mpeg2, avi, vob files is when i can't have the screen stretched sideways. This does not happen when I'm playing high definiton. People and object all look squashed side ways due to this. The left and right side of the screen is cut off, so it looks like i'm watching a 4:3 video when the actual video file is 16:9 (720x480). My damn Elecard MPEG4 player is NOT able to do this. The program also needs to be able to run both 4:3 and 16:9 video files in stretch mode so it can fill up the entire screen nice and evenly. as this file format is most-friendly when it comes to compatibility. I've always been fond of the power of good'ol MPEG2 files (and MPEG4 respectively). ![]() A lot of my high definiton video files are in. ![]() Most importantly I need something that can play all. TS files as well as MPEG2, AVI, vob, etc etc. ![]() I've been working hard to try to have a good program that is able to play all.
